Greenbriar
Plantation is a working farm
that was once part of Bo Peep
Plantation which traces
its origin and ownership to the
period prior to the Civil War
when cotton was grown, along
with numerous row crops. Today,
we grow pine trees and coastal
bermuda grass which we use to
graze cattle and horses and put
up as hay for winter feeding. |

|
| There
is three-quarters of a mile
frontage on the Coosawhatchie
River. This opens into a black
water swamp which is a refuge
for wildlife. This particular
parcel of land is most unusual
in that it has open fields,
planted pine, hardwoods, river
frontage, and duck ponds. |

|
| Here
at Greenbriar, we raise purebred
Angus cattle and Angus/Charolais-cross
cattle, concentrating on the
cow-calf end of the business and
offering replacement heifers for
sale. |

| Turkey
hunting and deer hunting are an
important part of the farming
operation. Each of our deer
stands has yielded 8-point
bucks. |

There
are three separate areas for the
stabling of horses. One is used
for foaling and training.
It is also equipped with a round
pen. One stable is designated
for visiting horses and the
third
is home to our driving horses
and personal saddle horses. |
