Involved in the hospitality industry for the past 30 years--from Harrah's at Lake
Tahoe to Lowe's Monte Carlo to Hilton Head Island
– it is now our pleasure to offer bed and breakfast suites for rental.
Originally designed as a carriage house for horses and
driving vehicles, the facility has been
altered to accommodate bed and breakfast
suites oriented to the equestrian and hunter
although you don't
have to be involved in either sport to enjoy
your stay at Greenbriar. Since Greenbriar is
a working farm, there's always plenty of
activity...animals to be fed and the
opportunity to see the day-to-day operations
of a farm.
Deer hunting in the Lowcountry is
outstanding with a long season extending
from August 15 to January 1. Over 1,000
acres of owned and leased land is available.
Our nearest neighbor is 2 1/2
miles away. The Old Orangeburg Stagecoach Road
adjoins the property...18 miles of soft dirt
road provide a wonderful opportunity for
horseback riding. Sherman's army bivouacked
just up the road at Oak Grove Plantation the
second night out of Savannah on the way to
Columbia.
Each morning we provide a good old
fashioned breakfast featuring hearth
cooking.
Our facilities are also available for
rental on a daily basis for special event
functions, such as weddings (our gazebo on
the pond is a perfect spot), family
get-togethers, retreats, etc.
Affiliated as we are with resorts on
Hilton Head Island, we invite you to bring
your horse, stay and ride at Greenbriar, and
then leave your horse with us while you move
on to Hilton Head for a few days of golf,
shopping, fine dining and sunbathing on
Hilton Head's glorious beaches. Your horse and trailer will be secure with us until
your return.
